Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing and using the SearchCleaner Chrome extension (“Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please uninstall the extension.

2. Service Description

SearchCleaner is a Chrome browser extension that uses AI to filter spam, advertising, and low-quality content from search results on Google. The service is provided on a subscription basis with a free tier and Premium plans.

3. Subscription Plans

• Free: Basic keyword-based heuristic filtering, manual hide/restore.
• Premium Monthly: $5 USD/month, recurring.
• Premium Yearly: $50 USD/year, recurring (17% discount vs monthly).

Subscriptions auto-renew unless cancelled. You may cancel at any time from your account dashboard.

4. Payment Terms

Payments are processed by Lemon Squeezy. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges to your payment method. Prices may change with 30 days advance notice via email.

5. Refund Policy

Full refund available within 14 days of initial purchase. Renewal payments refundable within 7 days of renewal date. See our Refund Policy for full details.

6. Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation prevents future charges but does not refund the current billing period. You retain access to Premium features until the end of the paid period.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the extension
• Use the service to violate any laws or regulations
• Attempt to bypass rate limits or access controls
• Resell or redistribute the service without written permission
• Use automated means (bots, scrapers) to interact with the service
• Create multiple accounts to abuse refund policies

8. Intellectual Property

The SearchCleaner extension, brand, design, and underlying code are the intellectual property of the operator. You receive a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service per these terms.

8.5 Trademark Notice

Google and all other product names mentioned are trademarks of their respective owners. SearchCleaner is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google LLC or any other mentioned entity. References are nominative use only.

9. AI Filtering Accuracy Disclaimer

The AI judgment system is not 100% accurate. False positives (legitimate content being hidden) and false negatives (spam being shown) may occur. The service is provided “as is” without warranty of accuracy. You can manually restore any hidden content via the extension popup.

10. Service Availability

We aim for 99% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, upgrades, or third-party outages (e.g., Anthropic API).

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator’s total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may terminate your account at any time by uninstalling the extension and cancelling your subscription.

13. Changes to Terms

These terms may be updated. Material changes will be communicated via email (Premium users) or via the extension. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

14. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Seoul, Republic of Korea.
